Is my Ferrari F430 fake?
I have a 2007 Ferrari F430, and the color is Rossa Barchetta. I bought the car for 172 K. But recently when I looked at the car, there was a S & J badge missing from the side of the car. Does that mean the car is a replica, or some have it and some don’t?
Order the carfax off of your vin. It should come back as a registered ferrari. If the carfax produces an error, then it likely is a replica. Although note, replica cars are not usually sold from dealerships, as many of them do not meet the minimum safety and emissions guidelines to be sold commercially. They don’t have vin plates on the engines/doors/window+dash because they were not mass produced and registered officially. If it is a replica, then of course that is fraud and you have a lawsuit on your hands, but I suspect that you have an authentic ferrari. The color is minimal however, as rossa barchetta is not a ferrari color, it is simply a very nice custom paintjob renamed to make the car seem more interesting…that’s what all car companies do.
