Raikkonen takes Spanish GP

In response to the accident Kovalainen other drivers have expressed their concern for their well-being. Hamilton said: "It was a bad day for Heikki, but I'm glad he is okay. Ron [Dennis] came on the radio and told me he was fine. I am sure it will get better and we will continue to push forward. "
The first pit stops seems to be a growth strategy among Formula One drivers Alonso made a pit stop earlier than expected, with Felipe Massa made his first stop three laps later. Alonso was forced to withdraw from the race on lap 34 after suffering serious engine problems. "We had an engine problem, which exploded. Red Bull's Mark Webber took fifth place after problems with the engine Alonso caused his premature departure. Webber had a comfortable lead in the sixth driver, Jenson Button.
