Lamborghini vs Ferrari FACTS?
What are some reasons why lamborghini is better then ferrari? And can someone tell me the crash test ratings of any newer model of Lamborghini and ferrari that makes Lamborghini look better?
In my opinion, Lamborghini designs their cars from a different perspective than Ferrari. Engine design, aerodynamics, shape, etc are different.
Assuming we are comparing their basic sports cars that are commonly compared, the Gallardo and the F430 (the new 458 too), you can see what I mean.
The Gallardo belts out its power through an AWD drive system that’s twisted by a V10. The newest version, the LP560/70/4 now utilizes a flat plane crankshaft (used since the LP560 I believe). You can also choose to have either a stick or a semi auto trigger shifter gearbox. Body shape: this is supremely evident; Lamborghini seems to design their cars with rulers. Everything is wedge like and straight.
The F430/458 drive their rear wheels using a flat plane equipped V8. It’s a different driving experience. I would think it’s more raw than an AWD Gallardo simply because 4 wheels make traction issues…non-issues. Transmission wise, they have similar offerings. And of course, Ferrari uses more organic and bulbous shapes to design their cars. The lines flow in a different way than Lamborghini.
I don’t think these cars are going to be the safest, but I think they do have to meet minimum safety standards to be sold in the US. Also, they’re not meant to be daily drivers so like…yea. Money spent in safety is a lot of money spent…and that stuff adds weight too. Might as well invest it into more power or making the car lighter or something.
I personally like Ferrari because their engineering is better.
