Lexus has a system that measures the resistance in the lighting system that tells it when you have a burnt out bulb and then you get the “back light” alert on your dash. If you hooked up a new light in parallel you’ll lower the over all resistance and thus might be causing the warning light to come on. You would have to put a small load resistor to fix this problem. It happens a lot when people replace the regular incandescent light bulbs with LED light bulbs when they don’t get them with the resistor built in them.
