The 2010 Lexus IS 250 With 2.5 Liter V6

This may make this hefty 4440 pound car seem ghastly underpowered, but don’t be fooled: For those looking for a little excitement, pressing down on the accelerator will launch the car from 0-60 miles per hour in about 7 and a half seconds, well faster than most sedans in its class. Additionally, its 186 foot-pounds of torque are readily available at 4800 RPM, making passing on the highway extraordinarily easy. The engine’s low redline RPM (which is very un-Japanese) also ensures that the IS 250 is very quiet in all normal speed ranges. Your family will thank you for the extra peace and quiet.
This solid performance doesn’t cause a dent in fuel economy, either: The IS 250′s V6 is still rated at a very respectable 18 miles per gallon in the city, and 26 miles per gallon on the highway. This is a pleasant surprise from a car that weighs over 4000 pounds and creates more than 200 horsepower. As always, the engineers at Lexus continue to impress.
