How can a 93 Lexus Ls400 speedometer needle that does not move be fixed All other needles work?

First of all, become a member here: http://www.clublexus.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=183 they are probably the most helpful people around. There is a whole sticky thread devoted to gauge cluster problems, if you don’t feel like sifting through pages of posts just use the search button-if you don’t they will get irritated lol. I could have sworn they said it was a speed sensor going bad, and not a $1000 cluster replacement. Besides, most problems with the cluster can be repaired by a competent electrical engineer(i.e. the fuel gauge problem is a matter of replacing a capacitor). Just do some research on that forum before you blow $1000.
