What do I need to do to re-paint some mag wheels?
The mags I am talking about are the Gold mags off a Subaru Impreza WRX. They have run along a gutter and have knocked the paint off, but havent done any damage other then that.
I was looking at painting them white as it would go better with my car.
I have had experience painting car parts, so I do have a bit of knowledge. But as this is a bit different….
What would I need to do to repaint them?
well usually mags refer to wheels that are magnesium, they are very expensive. Are they actually magnesium alloy? Anyway get your wheels powder coated doesn’t really matter what they are made out of. Paint is not corrosive to metals White wheels are the worst. Gunmetals are nice as well as dark bronzes depends on the color of the car, but i have never seen white rims with any car that i have liked.
